October is Fire Prevention Month!

Did you know that almost two thirds of the deaths caused by house fires were due to no smoke alarms being present or ones that weren’t working?

This scary fact is brought to us by the National Fire Protection Association, and of those that weren’t working, 25% were because of dead batteries. Such a small task of maintaining your alarms can be the difference between a close call and catastrophic loss.
